“The Day; perhaps the decisive Day is come on which the fate of America depends.” Abigail Adams’s “bursting Heart” could not contain what she had seen when she brought her 8 year old son John Quincy Adams up to the top of Penn’s Hill to watch the Battle of Bunker Hill on June 17, 1775. The two watched the beginning of the Revolutionary War unfold right in front of their eyes, a few miles from home.

On Sunday, June 17, 2018, join Abigail Adams for a special Bunker Hill Day tour. This tour will take you from the Visitor Center, by trolley, to the John Quincy Adams Birthplace, and then up to the top of Penn’s Hill to hear Abigail recount that day and what it meant for the colonies. This tour starts at the Visitor Center at 10:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. and will last an hour. This tour is separate from the regular Adams National Historical Park guided tour and does not include Old House at Peace field.

Tour Times: 10:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 2:30 p.m.
